So I'm trying to figure out which phone out in the market (in Asia) fits my requirements (and please don't say none!!!). I've got the BB Pearl, love it. But gotta give it up for the Curve, and in which case, I would definitely like another smaller phone to use - as a phone, while I use the Curve only for emails.
Here's my wish list:
- Search contacts like I can search in the Pearl (i.e. first name, last name, company, using any combination of letters): I have 950 contacts, ability to search is critical
- An OS as fast as the BB OS. Don't know what blackberry uses, but it sure is fast. Switching between apps, finding a contact - lightning fast.
- Charge using a mini USB jack (preferably with the regular BB charger - trying to reduce stuff to carry in my laptop bag) - my wife uses a motokrazr and the charger is the same for the pearl and her phone.
- USB charge (through the PC)
- Small size - form factor doesn't matter - can be a candy bar or flip
- T9 dictionary - I text a lot
- If possible, a micro SD card so I can load up music for domestic in-flight entertainment
- Internet capability (3G, etc) doesn't matter - I stay in India and mobile data services suck. Don't plan on surfing the web on this either
I'm relatively price insensitive. Here's what I've come up with so far, but am far from deciding: HTC; Imate SP5; any WinMo based Smart Phone / Nokia E50 / Motorazr2 / Samsung slider (I think that's what its called)
Would appreciate any inputs - if you can name some models, would be great. Thanks!!

Well, Nokia has an excellent phoneboo system. But, not many of them use miniUSB and none of them charge from a PC. So it sounds like the Motorola RAZR 2 or something like the Cingular 3125 would be a good bet for you.
