Can I legitimately activate this iPhone?

Hi All,
I would like to activate my iPhone legitimately. I currently hacked it to use my old ATT Sim (Jailbreak and iActivate). I think everything is okay. I have the normal IMEI (that is on the back of the phone) in my Settings and I am still on FW 1.0.2. Using iTunes 7.3.2. With all of the talk about encrypted firmware and other problems, I just want to have my iPhone work normally and not have to worry about it.
How do I go back to the factory settings and use the original SIM card that came with it? Will I have problems if I decide to update later? Will this "brick" my phone (now or then)?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

As long as all you did was jailbreak and activate it, you SHOULD be able to resore it to whichever version firmware you want and activate it 'legit' with your original SIM

If you choose a firmware other than 1.1.1 you can even still rejailbreak it and reinstall any apps you want

You should be fine with a restore.
