Flashing Sprint V3m to Alltel

I had the most horrific time getting my OEM Sprint V3m to flash for use on the Alltel Network. No matter what I did by following the forum advise and instructions found here (very detailed and very good I might add) this V3m would error out and not flash. I used most all the flash programs thinkable. Nothing worked. 
One saving grace: Backup!! 
Solution: I found the OEM Monster pack for Verizon V3m (http://www.humpa.com/vzw/ )and decided to see if it would install. Sure enough I now had an OEM Vcast V3m on my hands. So, now I tried the Alltel Monster Pack and sure enough it now loaded and I have accomplished my goal. 
I am sharing just in case someone else runs into trouble converting something, try other MP's first then the one you are after. I have no idea why it does this but it worked for me! 
Most important though: MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE YOU START DOING ANYTHING TO YOUR PHONE! I cannot stress this enough!!
