(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Does anyone make a htc plug to 3.5mm with out the cord? I want something that is plastic and i can leave on the phone with out having it swing around everywhere. If no one does, then what is the smallest adapter that is available?

yeah... just look on ebay. ive seen one on there already

Posted by: ca3

yeah got one today (off ebay) and love it!

I got my adapter from ebay as well.

Mine looks like this:

Yea thats the one I don't want. I want a solid plastic one maybe a 90 degree one that is small so I can leave it installed with out having it get in the way. How long are those ones? Maybe you guys can take a pic so I can buy that if I have no other choice.

This is the one I want

You can have the headphones plugged in and enjoying your multimedia and still have the phone plugged in to a power supply so you're not killing the battery.

But those solid plastic one put a lot of stress on the USB plug, as there is no stress relieve mechanism (see the joint between a cable and a jack/adapter). And a broken USB plug could render your phone severely crippled. I would certainly advice one with a cable for the longevity of the USB plug, especially if you are on the go.

I couldn't agree with you more.
I'm using a solid one with my p3600, and after a couple of months of use, I have to wiggle the adapter until I can hear music. I don't use it anymore...not worth damaging the socket on my phone.

This is the one I have

I like the one crawldit posted maybe something with out the charger port im too picky. But the more I think about it, I guess its not that bad to have the wire since lak has a good point on the stress. Do any of you have pictures with your adapter installed? I want to see how long it is.

how about leaving it attached to your headphones?

Amazon.com has one going for a penny ($.01!) The catch? Well, shipping is like 7 bucks, but still at a penny a piece, buy one for the car, one for the house, one for work, etc.

Mine is about 4 1/2 inches long and it's flexible. Sorry about the crappy pic. I lent my digi cam to a family member so I'm using a cell phone cam.

Well that's great.. I ordered it a few days ago and it's on the way.. So too late to cancel it.. However, when it gets here I'll let ya know for sure... But that won't be until Oct 12 - Oct 17 when it's suppose to arrive... For @ $8 it was not a bad deal.. But now if it don't work, then sending it back and getting another will start to add up..

It should work... the HTC has a USB Ext port (the angled USB port), which accepts Mini USB cables and EXT cables just fine.

From the manual....

Connections
I/O Port
HTC ExtUSB™ (11-pin mini-USB and audio jack in one;
USB 2.0 Full-Speed).

Oh really great now I just order one from another place which says it works with the 8925 Tilt... I'm going to have to start reading that manual...

Thanks

Sorry, I couldn't say, I'm going to order it for my Dash.

I have one of thoughs extusb to 3.5mm, for the tytn 2 without the wire, and you may also have a look at the Rc w100 remote control which is an official remote control for the HTC, i'll post pictures of both of them later on.

It's so lame how you can't use a USB headset with the USB port on the s620/s621

Can you charge the phone or use the data cable and use the 3.5mm adapter at the same time?
