hello,

well as the title suggests i dont know how to install a java application on the phone. I want to install a stopwatch so I downloaded the jad file and jar file and have put them on the memory card for the phone but when i try to start the file it says "invalid file." I was searching the internet for how to do it but apparently everyone knows how to already except for me because i couldnt find one instruction guide on it.

so could someone guide me through it?

copy the bigger file size out of the two and replace it with one of the jar files on the phone. you'll see directories like this 00 03 11 14 15 16 17
just use bitpim and open those directories and copy your program onto the phone. make a backup of the orginal file first. then goto your apps and find the one that you replaced and run your java program.
If you download it directly from the internet from your phone, it will install automatically and correctly. IT IS NOT ILLEGAL! IT IS NOT AGAINST SPRINTS POLICY. IT IS YOUR PHONE! IT IS NOT BYPASSING CRAP! this forum will lie to you and tell you that it can't be done. I've been doing it for years.

Just send the .jar using a web uploader. Rumkin.com has a great one but there are lots of them. Google "sprint web uploader"

OK, I have worked this bad boy pretty hard. I have been able to convert my mp3's to ringtones. I have bitpim accessing the file structure.

I found the brew folder that contained the .jar and .jad files. I created a new folder 25 and dropped my game in that folder. The phone couldn't find the app.

I went to folder 21. It had the world series of poker software. I overwrote the .jad and .jar files, but did not clean out all of the other files in the folder. It tried to run, but I just got error messages.

I cant use a WAP download as the phone does not have internet access.

OK guys, really, how do I use the USB cable to get some new games on this thing? I went to getjar.com and found lots of great free games. They all have .jar and .jad files. I wanna PLAY that stuff.
