Auto-Brightness ... off = REALLY off?

Ok I'm just about sick of my damn screen dimming for no reason..

I've made sure that my auto-brightness setting is set to OFF and for some reason the phone STILL dims at random times.

Is this a confirmed bug? Anyone else have this problem?

it dims when the phone is about to lock...try turning off autolock see if that makes a difference

if i lock/sleep it myself and unlock it to get back into the phone, the brightness still stays dim.. id have to go into the settings, turn ON auto-brightness then turn it off again to get my brightness setting back to normal

no one else has this problem?

Who says it's a problem? If you leave your screen on all the time, your battery will die much sooner. Gimme battery life vs. always seeing an idle screen.

it goes dim while im actually using it, i dont mind it auto locking, helps of course.. but say ill pick up the phone, go into some apps, do my regular thing and random times if i lock and unlock or if i simply exit programs itll autodim
