Mot V3 SMS Messaging Alert Problem

Hi,
I have a friend with a Motorola V3 through Fido. If I send her a text message from my Rogers number it is delivered to her phone but does not alert her and if she goes into the messaging menu it shows the message as already opened.

I have tried to send her text messages from 2 different phones (my v3i and V551) with the same results. We have deleted my address book entry from her phone completely and still the same results. She has no problems with anyone elses text messages and originally she didn't have any problems with text messages from my number. It only started recently.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how to over come this problem?
