Tilt and Gmail: Automatically Deleting Messages?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I used the auto-setup feature on my new Tilt for my Gmail account. It will alert when it receives a message. But if I were to check my phone about 20 minutes after the message was received, it is not in the inbox. The notification icon still shows up until I enter my inbox.

I have it set to check for messages every 10 minutes, so it seems like, for example, if it downloads a message at 2:00, when it checks again at 2:10, it will delete the message from my inbox on my phone, when I have not read or even touched my phone.

I had Gmail set up on my 8125 and it worked flawlessly. Is this problem perhaps a WM6 issue?

Any thoughts/ideas?

I've read about this issue and actually experienced it myself on a blackjack. Something to do with gmail, but I remember that if you put "username:recent" or something like that in the settings it corrected the issue. You may find it here somewhere if you search. Now, why it was working on the previous device and now doesn't, I'm not sure.

I had the same problem with 8125, and 8525 there's a cab some where in XDA that fixes this problem.

I had this problem too. I initially had the Tilt find the settings automatically and I removed the recent: part of the username. This way caused it to delete items from my inbox the next time it did a Send/Receive.

So I deleted the account and did it again leaving recent:username@gmail.com
Now it's working fine.
