HTC Vogue?

I want this phone VERY much but can't find anything solid about it. I read here sprint is supposed to have it November 4th. What I am trying to find out is if this is solid information. I can't find any real info on a cdma version of the Touch. HTC website released their fall line up and Vogue is not mentioned. I see a lot about the HTC dual and want to be sure this is not the phone sprint is getting in Nov. It seems to be a fine phone but I REALLY want the Vogue. If this is going to be released Nov. 4th when should it show up on the HTC website? Thanks for any and all info. This place rocks!!!

Sit tight. You'll be happy soon.

Looks like HTC is aiming at some November announcements. They could hardly do worse than they did with their October rollouts. My feeling is the Sprint Touch, that's what Sprint is calling the Vogue, just to add to the naming confusion, will be made official in November. Let's hope there's some other good news, like the Polaris, as well.

Small point: HTC doesn't launch carrier-branded devices; the carriers do that themselves. Don't expect any announcement from HTC to include this device.

Thanks so much everyone. This answers my question the most though. I really wondered why it wasn't on their site. I can't wait till Sprint gets this phone!

Something interesting I found and posted at Sprintusers.com

Anyways if you go to Sprint.com and look under News Releases, they've released the BB Pearl 2, but not the HTC Touch yet.... =[

I did however find this.
1)If you type in www.sprint.com/centro you find a teaser site for the centro, same thing applies if you type in www.sprint.com/pearl you'll find the teaser site for the upcoming pearl.
2)Now if you type in something random like http://www.sprint.com/sanyo you'll find a 404-Page Not Found Error and it leads back to Sprint Site Map.
3)Now type in www.sprint.com/touch and you'll linked back to a page like the pearl and centro teaser sites, however the image links are broken.
ASSUMPTION: When it's pre-released like the pearl they'll get this page out. How long is the question. The page must still be in the making.

nice find, right? can i get a couple of thank yous

Muchas Gracias, added that link to my favorites and will be checking regularly. I also filled out the form to be notified when more info is released.

I hope it makes it to the SERO site the day of release.

You right. Typically HTC will announce the unbranded device, sometimes renamed. From their latest announcements:

Quote:
All devices will be available through HTC's channel and specific operator partners.

So if they're true to form, they'll announce the Vogue, probably with some other official designation, prior to it's introduction by Sprint or other operating partner.

over in the Telus forum there is a scan of the flyer for the HTC Vogue stating it has a 2.0 MP AUTO-FOCUS camera and includes a 1 GB microSD card.

Hopefully Sprint will also include a 1 GB or larger card with the phone, although I do plan on getting at least a 4 GB microSDHC card, depending on the price of the actual phone.

Eh... You're close, but that's not really how it works. For example, nowhere on HTC's Web site will you find an announcement for an HTC-branded version of the Sprint Mogul.

Understand that HTC is a contract manufacturer. If Sprint has hired them to manufacturer a device under the Sprint banner, even if it's based on an existing HTC reference design with a few tweaks to processor speed and whatnot, it is not HTC's device to announce. It is Sprint's.

I'd also like to add that whenever a phone is made under contract to a carrier, the specifications are sometimes different than that of the original model made/sold under the HTC brand mark. Something that is common is to leave features out, add/modify/eliminate ports and connectors, etc...

Anyone know if the HTC Vogue for Sprint releasing Nov 4 will have access to EVDO Rev B?

Posted by: thoughtfulclown

it will be upgraded in the future to EVDO Rev A. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Posted by: ceomoney

I was under the assumption evdo was built into the hardware. I.E. the Mogul cant use Evdo rev A but the HTC touch/vogue has evdo rev A hardwired.
