TyTNII questions

Hi all, I wonder if you would mind answering a couple of questions for me?

I've just bought a TyTNII - changed from a BlackBerry Pearl - and am generally very pleased with it, but wonder about the following:

Is there any way to set profiles? On the BB, I could set up a 'night' profile which I could then access with one button press which would set a quiet ringtone and mute the SMS alert but allow for the alarm in the morning. It seems that if I mute the TyTNII at night then the alarm won't then sound? I would also like the light to flash a different colour if I have an SMS to alert me...

Is there any way I can set the phonepad to 'click' rather than (that annoying) 'beep' as I dial?

I've been trying to set up the Sync Centre to allow me to manually sync, rather than constantly doing it when the phone is connected and charging, because it always seems to be in mid-sync when I want to disconnect. Is this possible, please?

Does the phone have an extended battery available?

Please forgive me if these have been answered elsewhere - I did a search but came up empty.

Thanks in advance!

Good opportunity to bump this, with two more searching questions - seeing as the last ones seem to have stumped y'all

Can I change the phone book to first name, last name or does it always default the other way?

And...

How do I change the number (1) speed-dial button to 121, as currently it has the full voicemail number and I can't seem to edit it as described in the manual - it allows me to change all other slots, but not the first one.

Thanks!

VM should be under the phone settings or "my numbers" or "my info" or something like that. the phonebook display is set under phonebook options as I was able to change it to be last name first. most of what you described should be able to be accessed through the settings in wm6. I have the s620 w/ wm6 and all of it is accessible through the settings menu. just play around with it and you should be able to figure it out.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I found the 'contacts options' but nowhere is there a 'first name, last name' setting - it just defaults to 'last name, first name'.

The VM number is where you described, but that's the whole number, not the '121' to access the message. So my number (1) speed-dial takes me into my message box settings, rather than to the message itself. And I promise you I've searched high and low through the 'settings' menu for answers...

For better profile management and notifications, you'll need to install some third party apps. For example:
http://www.pocketmax.net/phoneAlarm.html

You may also want to search around for some other free alternatives.

Each contact has a 'file as' setting. You can change to first name, last name there.

Cheers.

Rather than just 'bump' this, I thought I would mention that I have paid for the SPB Time and Phone Suites - http://tytn.handster.com/product.php?id=6 - which has solved my 'profile' problem, and as an aside I can thoroughly recommed the free keyboard add-on from here: http://www.pocketcm.com/keyboard.php which makes the kepboard usable.

Any answers to my other questions would be gratefully received...
