ATT Tilt (dumb question)

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I use Windows Vista Ultimate and have the ATT Tilt
I read somewhere that you do not have to install Active Synch
because Vista has some kind of program built in to do the same

Where do I find that program and how do I install files or .cab files in to
my Tilt?

just plug in your device to your machine Windows Mobile Device Center should load.

After that you may need to do a windows update for your computer, i believe there is an update for WMDC

the software is not built in, althought a lot of people say it is... its a windows update that you have to go through after you have pluged in the mobile device into your computer...

did that but still don't understand how to do it

not too computer savvy....................

Just download and install Windows Mobile Device Center and then plug your phone in. It will detect and install your phone. Then it will ask you the standard questions on what you want to sync. After that, you can install .exe files by running them while the phone's connected and .cab files by copying the file onto your phone and running it from the phone using the phone's file explorer.
