SLVR L7 Problem

Hey, new to the site, seemed like a good site to start looking into phones with. Either way, my old phone, a Cingular/AT&T SLVR L7 iTunes phone has been giving me a little difficulty with the AIM client. I can sign onto aim fine, but it doesn't show my buddy list, nor let me add a buddy. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
