I know theres a lot of brick solutions out there, but do these same solutions work for iphones that are preinstalled with 1.1.1?

Worked for me with a preinstalled V1.1.1 with these steps:

1.) Downgrade Firmware (I used Method B so AppTapp jailbreaked the iPhone):

2.) Downgrade Baseband:

3.) Upload anySim 1.02 via SSH to Applications directory on iPhone

4.) Ran anySim.

You do realize what you are doing to the phone by doing this, right?

Just wait a few more weeks for a legit unlock that doesn't involve bad code and potentional bricking upon further updates.

This was never meant as an unlocking solution for 1.1.1 but rather an emergency unbrick for people that bricked thier phones with the update.

Thank you BT!!!

People have to realize the Dev team removed AnySIM for a reason: It's bad for the phone. Don't expect them to continue to bail you out if you insist on using an app they no longer consider safe. And then blame them for providing bad code.

Glad to be not the only one with a bit of common sense.
Many "modders" need to research a bit more before tweaking their devices.

We'd have much less of those "X messed up my phone....HELP!" threads. Mess ups happen but they do much less frequent if you understand what's being done rather then follow a set of instructions. Just IMO of course.
