Well, bought a ringtone, and below is what the ringtones plist looks like now. The first 3 are custom ringtones that I synced in itunes, they are on the phone, but did not display. The last one, BitterSweet Symphony, I purchased, that of course works fine....
The plist with a purchased ringtone....... (last one is purchased)

Here's what I did.....
I edited my plist above and changed the custom m4a sounds to the m4r extension, then SCP'ed into the phone and in the Media/Itunes_Control/Rintones folder, renamed the m4a files m4r.
Re-booted the phone and the ringtones now appear in the ring tone list......but, they don't play. Just dead silence when trying to play them.
So, I'm thinking its way the files are coded? I see that the one I purchased in itunes says its a protected aac, where the others are just aac.
Any suggestions as to why the files appear, but don't play?
