Could Someone Please 'interpret' this for me (Summerboard)?

Trying to get summerboard to work on my 1.1.1.
I downloaded Nullriver alpha version to my of (right?!) its on my C drive.
then the manual instructions ask you to
'copy certain files to your iPhone' on various ways.
First I don't understand where these various 'library', system, application iPhone folders are....(on the pc..on the phone ? )...then how one goes about copying them to those folders (I DO know how TO copy!)
Anyway, noob questions for sure but clarifying it'd be appreciated

To use Summerboard on a 1.1.1 phone you need to be able to connect to your phone via SSH. If you've already jailbroken the phone (enabled read/write capability) you should have done this already. But by virtue of your confusion, I'm going to assume (in spite of your assertion that you know how to copy) you have not jailbroken yet.

First step you need to take is read THIS POST and follow the links for your operating system. Read the guides thoroughly before you start

If, after reading the guides, you feel you're in over your head, STOP. Forget Summerboard for now and wait a week or so till a GUI method comes out.

If you're comfortable with the method in the guide, have at it. Once you're done you'll know what they mean in the Summerboard installer instructions

Or, if the above post is more detail than you needed: (And in fact you DO know how to copy :P ) Just install SSH and BSD System files (with Installer) on the phone, Then use either CyberDuck or WinSCP to SFTP to the phone and put the files in the stated directories on the phone

or install it with the installer app or through ibrickr to simplify things
