iPhone Contrast Settings - Is there a hack for it?

Hello! Unfortunately I recently discovered that I got an iphone with the negative black issue. Right now I don't want to take it back to the apple store. It's just a lot of hassle to restore it, bring it in, get a replacement (maybe) and then I have to downgrade to 1.1.02 (assuming it has 1.1.1) and then ibrickr and unlock again. I am hoping that someone has accessed or hacked the contrast settings of the phone. This way, people with the negative black issue can just adjust the contrast settings along with the brightness settings to remove the negative black. It's really stupid that apple provided a brightness settings, then left out the contrast settings. This is definitely a contrast issue and nothing to do with the hardware. I've calibrated a lot of plasma and LCD tvs using DVE (calibration software) and this exact problem is always just requires adjusting the brightness and contrast.

Thanks in advance.

This isn't exactly a solution, but I did have some great results by adjusting the contrast/brightness settings when converting video for the iphone using various video converting software (I have a slight neg black issue)
Of course this wont help youtube video's.
