Playing Videos Rogers 8800 vs Telus 8830

Tried swapping a microSD card with a buddy I have a 8800 Rogers and he has an 8830 on Telus and the 8830 won't play the converted videos that the 8800 plays no problem.
What is the cause here? All the video conversion programs I have seen do not differentiate between the two so it must be software related. Do we have to upgrade the media player in the 8830 and if so how?

I have not been able to get videos to play on my Bell 8830 yet either. I used a program (www.seabyrdtech.com) to convert a few - but as you say - it mentions 88xx only and does not distinguish.... - still looking

I play videos all of the time on my Bell 8830. I also download news videos from the CNN Mobile website.

how about streaming tv/clip does BB 8830 support that?
