I just wanted to know what everyone thought...

A. Apple bricked our iPhones that were unlocked with the free unlockers

B. The free unlocks were not coded correctly and bricked our iPhones

You (figuratively speaking) weren't supposed to install hacked software on the iPhone in the first place.

You (again, in the figurative sense) should've known better than to update the firmware of a hacked iPhone without first checking the forums online.

Apple should've performed a sanity check on the baseband firmware prior to allowing an update to install.

The iPhone Dev Team knew the baseband could be upgraded and should've written their unlock code with this in mind, or at least warned people that the process was irreversible. (for awhile, the Dev Team Wiki actually said that a tool to viginize phones would soon be released, making it seem like it was perfectly safe to run AnySIM)

With so many places to place the blame, it really seems like the whole ordeal is one big clusterf***, as my father would say. It took a "perfect storm" of circumstances to lead up to the iPhones being bricked, action on either Apple's, the iPhone Dev Team or your own part would've prevented a brick.

The free unlocks. This has already been shown. The Dev Team unlocks were poorly written.
