Out of no where I noticed all my pictures were gone and my ringtones were deleted. I couldn't upload anything using ibrickr. Next thing I know my iPhone says "Connect to iTunes" after I restarted it. Now I restored it using iTunes and now my SIM doesn't work.

What do I have to do to get this to work with my SIM now?

Whatever you did to get it working with your SIM the first time.
Seems OS got corrupted and went into safe mode (requires restore).
Whatever you did might have caused it so make sure you check all the steps you made prior to the corruption (3rd party apps, external software, etc)

you have to re-unlock it after restore because everything gets wiped out

happened to me too, one day using the iphone it crashed twice first time i hard reset it... the 2nd time it crashed i did the same thing, then nothing happened it kept showing me a yellow triangle saying connect to itunes somehow as u said the os got corrupted....so i restored again and resync... only problem was having to reactivate it but didn't have to unlock it again

UNLOCKS do not get wiped out

JAILBREAKS get wiped out

ACTIVATIONS get wiped out

UNLOCKS are permanent.
