If i buy 1.1.1, can i downgrade it to 1.0.2 and unlock it? please confirm

Yes but its not easy done yet. Just wait for the 1.1.1 unlock which is being tested now. Soon the experiments will be over and it will be released.

You can but I have to keep asking WHY when the 1.0.2 unlock methods are proven to damage the phone?

The whole concept of backdating a device to a previous version just to use something that will prevent you from bringing it back to the current version totally blows my mind.

If you must have a free unlock give it a week or so and there should be one publicly available.

From what I have been reading, they are now testing the new free unlock. The previous free unlock damages the phone, so I suggest you to wait.

I used the free unlock, so learn your lesson from me.

The best route to go may to to just buy the $60 license from one of IPSF's resellers.

If you go to IPSF their resellers are sold out kind of deal. I think IPSF resellers are playing safe game this time, buying enough so they can sell.

But, 1.0.2 is still much better than any thing else out there in Cell Phones... Nokia hasn't released anything out of the ordinary... Samsung Sony Ericsson Motorola all are sleeping
