Activating a Vogue on Verizon

I have friend who loves Verizon (no accounting for taste ). He is also in love with the HTC Vogue. If I can manage to obtain one are there any available routes out there to activate non-Verizon equipment on Verizon?

The Vogue is obviously the CDMA version of the Touch.

Instead of paying VZW all that $$$ for the data plan that you would have paid them, you could open a Sprint SERO account for $30/mo, get the Sprint Touch/Vogue, keep the Verizon phone, and *still* come out ahead...

Not my call. I have little use for Verizon but didn't want to start a war here.
