Can A2DP, Voice Dialing, and video recording...

capabilities be added with firmware updates to the existing iphone. I want to buy the phone now, but if is not possible for these functions to be upgraded in the current model, I will wait until the 2g model with upgraded hardware comes out. Thanks for any help you can offer. (P.S.: I tried searching the forums, but did not find a concise answer to this question).

Yes, they can be, since all the hardware is already there. Will they? Who knows.

A2DP is just a profile. Since bluetooth is already in the phone that can be added anytime they feel ready. Video recording and voice dialing are just software and again can be added whenever they are ready.

Theoretically they can like mentioned above. Whether they will is another question. Don't expect them to as it's very iffy.

they'll probably hold back those features for the next iphone. big features like that don't get added on, those are things that should be there during the initial launch of a device if they're to be released. ...unless implemented by a 3rd party.

Is there any 3rd party for video recording..

maybe after apple going soft on 3rd party applications, i think someone will have release this 3rd party application soon.

nokia added a2dp to many celphones a long LONG time after their launch :P

I truly miss voice dialing...quite a bit more the vid recording, MMS or stereo BT as I often have my hands full. I bought a bloody BT headset to have my hands free. Having to dial manually really beats the purpose.

Worst of all, my past 3 phones have had it so I took the feature for granted and really made use of it.

All that the OP listed is doable with a software upgrade so there is hope.
