Tethering Kaiser and Thinkpad T61 with Bluetooth & T-Mobile

I'm totally perplexed
I've succcessfully paired the Kaiser and (thanks to the help from the folks in my other thread) I've now got activesync working with bluetooth.
Now it seems that my bluetooth DUN will not function properly.
Pairing went flawlesly. Dialing *99# from the PC generates the expected screens - Dialing - Connecting - Verifying Passord/Authenticating/Connected. The problem is that little or no data is transfered. The computer thinks it has a connection to the net. The Kaiser acts like it's connected, but no access to internet or outlook send/receive.
The kaiser connects to the net independently with no issues. Mail/Internet work fine from the device when unpaired/tethered.
Any thoughts or suggestons? I've searched and searched so reference to an existing thread I may have missed would also be much appreciated.
I so thought that bluetooth would be the simple answer to all of my futhre needs, but for me it's turned out to be a very difficult and cumbersome process.
Thanks,
-john

Hmmm,
I've done some more research. I'm wondering if we need this .cab file to make DUN work with WM6 in Kaiser WM6 DUN
I cannot get internet sharing to work either, so i'm a little uncomfortable installing this without some knowledgeable feedback.

Have you tried turning on the "Internet Sharing" program on the Kaiser?

I know that using the wired tethering you have to turn that on first.

I tried that WM6 DUN cab before my first hard-reset, but I couldn't get BT DUN to work then. It really doesn't setup/do anything your Kaiser doesn't already have, but you're welcome to try yourself. It does add a nice ModemLink cpl to setup options, but that's about it. The rest of the dlls and registry settings are mostly already in the Kaiser ROM.

I'm more curious why your internet sharing isn't working, because that never has been a problem on my side, and alleviates this DUN issue. I wonder if one can ActiveSync over WiFi (ignoring WiFi snooping issues) and the avoid the BT conflict altogether. I currently really enjoy Hotsync'ing over wireless (after years of cabled), so ...

Perhaps all of this was just a fluke. I took advantage of T-Mobile's new $19.99 total internet/hotspots offering and everything works. I had been using the Proxy Server with basic T-Zones. Outlook Exchange server continued working but no internet. Kaiser would access internet with Proxy, but when using DUN connection successful but on internet.
Interesting...
