8525 wifi help!!!!!!

ok so when i have wifi enabled i go to look at the available networks. Like it should, my home network appears under the name it's supposed to and it says available. But when i click connect it just turns to unavailable and i can't access the internet. Now im new to pda/smartphones so i don't know if i have to change settings on the network on my phone or change some settings on my pc i have no idea so can you guys help me please?!?!?!?

It can be one of many things, what kind of router do you have and exactly what would happen? does it say "connecting" then just go to unavailable? I think this has a lot to do with your router settings...but i could be wrong, so if you could give me some more specifics I'd be glad to help.
