Hello all,

i was wondering i have a motorola T720 and i wanted a new attenna and those stubb ones looked cool..

well i was wondering will that reduce my reception or not?

thanks,
jac0b

This has been discussed quite a bit and the consenus seems to be that it's really hit or miss. Some work well, some don't. My only suggestion would be to try it out and see what happens, but don't throw away your OEM antenna, you may just need it.

thanks for the input bro

IMO, I would stick with the OEM Antenna. The T720 antenna isn't THAT bad. I actually think that the stubby antenna's make the phone look cheap (no offense to stubby antenna owners).

And since they're aftermarket, it really is Hit or Miss (like praetorian said).

Hey jac0b, check your PM.

Ok, so this might be a stupid question, but since I can order that free GSM stubby antennae from that nycom site (thanks to JerryNycom), will that work on my CDMA (Verizon) 720?? Or no? Just curious.

I CHECKED OUT THAST FREE ATTENNA THING AND IT IS B/S YOU ONLY GET A FREE "ATTENNA TOOL" NOT A ATTENNA

No, You get a free antenna and the tool.

NYcom is a great business and trusted on this board.

IS IT A ANTENNA FOR GSM OR A CDMA ANTENNA

Posted by: flipped out

What is the link for the FREE Motorola Antennas?

Posted by: Cioni2k

What are you talking about Jac0b.

You fill out your Serial numbers and stuff from your phone, and they will send you a free antenna but you just pay shipping

Um, the link? I think you need to PM JerryNYCom

just go to http://www.gonycom.com/, it has a popup that you click on.

So does anyone know the answer to this question?? Thought it was worth asking a second time. I'm assumming the stubby antenna would work fine, but who knows.

The GSM antenna will not fit on the CDMA (Verizon/Alltell) Version of the phone.

some hot girl came into my work and had to return the mot t720 cdma antenna she purchased for her mot t720 at&t gsm BECAUSE IT DIDNT FIT!! i guess it's vice versa for their stuff on our cdma stuff...peace all

As far as the antennas working I bought this one and if anyone will tell me that my phone looks worse with it... well I dunno... I hate aftermarket trinkets on phones but the V70 antenna was too big for how sleek the phone was. This tiny machined aluminum antenna works 100% as well as the factory one did. (This however only represents my excellent experience with it)

Does that honestly make the phone look cheap? (Or is it the stupid factory chrome bezel and front face [that should have been metal too!!]?)
