I don't know if anyone has posted this before but here is how I put custome ringtone on mine. I've read this from various sites and combine them together. It seems to be long but once you've done it. It will be really fast to do.

You will need Itunes 7.4 and MakeiPhoneRingtone.

1. Add the file (example: Ring.mp3) you want to be your ringtone to Itunes
2. Go to Itunes Preferences - then click on Advanced tab then click on Importing. Then Import Using: Apple lossless Encoder. Click OK
3. Right click on the Ring on your playlist then click "Convert selection to Apple Lossless. You will get another Ring on your playlist. It's "Ring.m4a" if you look at it in Finder.

4. Go back to Itunes Preferences - then click on Advanced tab then click on Importing. Then Import Using: ACC Encoder. Click OK

5. Right click on the NEW Ring on your playlist the click "Convert selection to ACC. You now will get another Ringtone on your playlist. You are now have total 3 Ring on your play list.

6. Right clik on the 3rd Ring on your playlist. Click "Show in Finder". You will see something like "Ring 1.m4a". Select all 3 of the Ring from your playlist and delete. When asked if you want to move to Trash or Keep. Chose KEEP.

7. Back to the Finder, delete the "Ring.m4a". Rename the "Ring 1.m4a" to Ring.m4r

8. Double click on it to add it to your itunes. It's now under Ringtone list

9. Sync your iphone. Wait for it to complete.

10. Rename the "Ring.m4r" back to "Ring.m4a"

11. Open MakeiphoneRingtone. Drag the "Ring.m4a" to MakeiPhoneRingtone. It will add another Ring on the Ringtone list.

12. Sync your iphone again.

Enjoy your custom Ringtone. Please leave feedback if it works for you.
