AT&T Tilt dead after Blackberry Connect Installation

My AT&T Tilt is just 3 days old and it is already dead. I installed, following the instructions, the Blackberry Connect. After the automatic reset, the phone never passed the welcoming screen. It froze there. I attempted a hard reboot but the behavior became even more strange. Again, it reached the welcoming screen, and it dimmed. Pressing the power on button again reset the phone only to get to the same place!! Of course, I will replace it but I am not so sure if I should do this or get another phone.

Press the reset hole in the bottom while holding the two softkeys (the keys above the mail and IE buttons). This will reset your phone to factory defaults and should fix your problems.

This may work if the phone works well, but it does not do anything when the phone gets stuck in the welcoming screen. Essentially, the phone is just an expensive brick at that moment and nothing can bring it back to life.

This happened to me twice following the Blackberry Connect Installation. Following installation, the software resets the phone but it never comes back again; it gets stuck at the welcoming screen and no number of hard or soft resets can bring it back to life. Certainly a serious bug!!!

This happened to me on the T-Mobile Wing, but not the TILT.

I had to do a hard reset to "bring the wing" back to life!
