I'm having a couple of problems lately with the Ipod functioning.

1) When trying to add audio extracted from a DVD into mp3 via itunes, my ipod does not show these tracks. The tracks play perfectly fine on my computer with either winamp or in itunes, but the ipod does not display them. I'm wondering if it's possible that it won't show due to duplicate song titles in other albums within the same artist (the tracks I'm trying to add are live songs...I have the album versions already on it). iTunes shows the titles being added to the "music" section, but does not show them being added when syncing. They ARE checked!

2) Within shuffle mode under the "songs" section in the ipod, I seem to be getting a lot of songs from the same artists in a row...usually 2-4 or so. I have smart shuffle enabled and the slider over to play in the most random order possible.

Any help would be appreciated especially with the first problem!

AAC doesn't show up either...it plays in my cd player, mp3 car cd player, and on any application on my comp...but no-go on iphone/pod...not even showing still....

I even tried placing a (1) after the song title trying to possibly trick it in case it doesn't allow multiple song titles from the same artist. Although, if under different album names it shouldn't matter anyway :-\

did you try removing the album verison of the song ?

Boy do I feel dumb! I just realized that when I had restored my phone, for whatever reason itunes only had "iphone selection" under current playlists set to sync! Not all music, Wow!
