W580i Casing color

Is it possible to change the casing to another color? For example, I have the white and I would like any other color but white, but white is the only color my provider (AT&T) carries. Can I change it to urban grey, or some other one? Do I need special tools? Last question. Where can I find the case in another color? Thanks!

1) yes
2) that's not true, i have an AT&T black version
3) yes
4) "special" is subjective. for instance, I have all the tools, so they are not special to me... i.e. I do not have to buy any tools to change mine
5) ok
6) probably no where at this time, keep checking the normal place the casings show up for other phones

Actually, I just got my phone about 3 days ago and when I ordered it the only color available was white Alright, thanks. I'll keep my eyes open for that casing.

Call and ask AT&T to swap for another colour?

Or wait for different colour housing to be released.

Yeah, sure, now the black one is released (online, I mean) I'll live with white. It's more of a silver white anyway. I thought it was like a pearl white, but it's kind of silver so it's not as bad as I thought

I found some black and grey cases on Ebay. How hard is the installation? Does anyone have a tutorial? I swapped housings on my Rarz with no tutorial or training, so I figure I can do this one. Are any tools needed other than a small screwdriver (I can see those screws) and small torx screw drivers? I have size 4, 5, and 6. Thanks in advance.

look for a se service manual for the s500 online, it shows you how to disassemble the s500/w580.
