I have the latest version of Itunes installed on my pc and don't worry I won't take the 1.1.1 update,,,lol ohh i got the 8gig iphone

If you are using XP then when you plug in your iPhone there will be a icon for the iPhone at the bottom when you open My Computer, just right click on that and hit explore and drag your pics in there (I havent tried it but I dont see why it wouldnt work)

Thanks guys, I chose this method and it worked but i noticed that if i remove the pictures from my pc picture folder then when i sync to the iphone itunes deletes the pictures from the phone,

ya i hate that its annoying

if you're just using them for Contacts photos you can delete them from the folder to be synced after you've assigned it to a contact. You don't need to keep another copy on the phone. Just send it once.

The same is true if you use a photo as a wallpaper.

BTW:
The 'removing so-and-so from the folder on the computer removes it from my iPhone' is the basis of syncing (as in file synchronization).
With a few exceptions, the iPhone 'mirrors' specific sources (playlist, folder for photos, contacts, etc.). You can't change [contents of] the source on the computer without affecting the 'mirror' on the iPhone during subsequent syncs (and conversely with contacts and calendar info on the phone).

Look through (or even post) in the hacking subforum for better info on this. I think iBrickr should work for your 1.0.2 firmware, don't quote me on that. I use my iPhone with OSX, so that's about all I can tell you here.

So let me understand this correctly with regards to the music.

Ok so if i put mp3's in the pc's music folder and then do a sync,
then erase the mp3's from the pc's music folder and do a sync,

Will the songs I erased from the pc get deleted from Iphone is I dont store them on the pc?

ohh and my firmware is 1.0.2 not 1.1.1

I noticed your mention on the OP, read my edited post above. iBrickr should be the tool you need.
