im looking for a new phone, i have a budget around $350. what i really want is a good camera phone, 3MP preferably. a couple that i've been looking at are the Nokia 6500 slide and the SE K810i. i know the nokia is out of my price range right now, but if it is a really good phone i am willing to wait sometime before i buy it. any other suggestions? i would prefer quadband but it doesn't really matter to me that much. i like nokia and SE the best, definitely will not go with motorola. i don't mind if the phone is a bit old either, like it doesn't have to be the newest one out.

K790a/K800i/K810i - you really cannot go wrong with one of those. Not many SE phones are quad band, but if you need 850, the K790a is the way to go. Under $300 on www.mobilecityonline.com

do you know if there are any major problems with the K810i. it's actually the one i like the most but when searching about it on the SE section here, there seemed to be quite a few problems with it. i want a phone that will last b/c im not the type that changes phones every few months lol.

The Nokia N73 has an excellent 3.2 megapixel camera and the video camera is a step above what Sony Ericsson is using. It's also quadband with a huge battery as well. Just my 2 cents.

never thought about that phone. but its not much of a looker, especially compared to the K810. but having said that, i do prefer nokia over SE. BUT the higher prices of nokia is a turn off for me lol.

I used it for a long time with no problems and my girlfriend bought herself one after I sold mine. After looking at the K810's specs, the N73 is definitely worth the extra money.

+Bigger screen (2" vs 2.4")
+EDGE (vs none, which you will notice a night and day difference without it)
+Smartphone/3rd party apps/multitasking
+Better video quality
-Tiny bit bigger
-Less internal memory
-More expensive

The N73 has dropped in price lately. I got one used 3-4 months ago for $250 + shipping on eBay.

i don't think im going to be buying on ebay. need to go visit some shops around toronto to see how much i can get it for. but i definitely never even though of the N73 until you guys posted and seriously, the phone seems pretty good. the only thing is that nokia phones don't seem to be have really good cameras as compared to the SE K series. it also doesn't look as nice as the K810. if pricing turns out being around the same, i'll probably go with the N73. if the K810 is significantly cheaper, then i'll go with that. cheers. thanks guys.
