BB Pearl Trackball

Hey, i'm new to the forum. I've been looking for a good mobile forum for a while and this one seems pretty knowledgeable.

Anyway, i got a question about the Pearl. I'm thinking of getting one but i was reading a couple reviews and it seems that every time there is an incoming call, any slight movement to the trackball or "pearl" will silent the ringer/vibrate and ask if the call wants to get answered or not. This would be a MAJOR inconvenience to me cause i always keep my phone in my pocket, so i'd probably end up missing a bunch of calls. Is there anyway to disable this feature? Maybe turning on the key-lock? How do you turn on the key-lock anyway on the Pearl, is there a side button or do you have to go through a bunch of menus? Also any news if the 8130 will let us diable this feature?

Thanks guys.

I have never heard of the trackball silencing the ringtone. I have a pearl and the only way I can silence it is to press the volume key on the side of the handset and even then it only silences it for a brief second. As far as the keylock, I changed my shortcut to utilize the button on the left side of the handset so that I can quickly lock the keypad. If these two things are the only thing keeping you from getting a pearl, take it from Nike and just do it! I switched from a SK2 and thought I couldn't live without a full qwerty. After about two weeks with the pearl I think I can type faster and only have to use one hand. It is a great phone that has a lot of upside, not to mention the fact that you can drop it in a shirt pocket and go, very sleek.
