Sidekick LX Prepaid? Worth the upgrade from sidekick id?

Hello there all!

I saw that the Sidekick LX recently came out and it looks really neat, and I must say. "I want one!"

My questions are though:
Does it work with pre-paid? As in: if i have a sidekick id right now and prepaid, do i just take the simcard and put it in the sidekick lx?

Does it support file transfer over bluetooth?
Does it support picture messaging?

What other differences does it have from the sidekick id?

Most important question:
Is it worth the upgrade from the sidekick id? (I will be paying retail price or used on ebay as im not on a contract)

If its worth it, then my sidekick iD is up for sale

I have mine on prepaid as I wanna use my razr2 v8 for voice
no file transfer over bluetooth, dont expect that ever from a sidekick, Tmobile locks that down
It's the first sidekick to support MMS/picture messaging

I believe its a def. upgrade from the ID and a semi-upgrade from the sk3. I love mine. It's slim, classy looking, LOVE the mood lights around the four corners. the screen is HUGE so i'm sure web pages look nicer (I haven't tried that out yet, it's still charging), I've heard the camera looks a lil better than from the sk3.

It's hard to compare because the ID and the LX are targetted at two different groups. For the 299.99 upgrade price I got blessed with, it's worth it. I walked in the store expecting to pay 399.99 and I was having major doubts but it depends on what you like/need. I was willing to pay the 399.99 price also but either way, I like it and believe its a nice physical and internal (though minimal) upgrade to the sk3/id

If you've been able to deal with the ID's limitations (no MMS, no camera, no MP3) for this long, why change now?

I would suppose migrating only involves putting your old SIM card in. That's what I did when I upgraded to the ID from a SKII.

like everyone says the difference between the 3 and lx is minimal. the thing I love on the lx is the 3.5mm headphone jack. just get a decent size memory card and you'll never need an ipod again. I figured that into the price to justify it being "worth" the upgrade. sure you could still do the same on a 3, but I didn't like the stock headset or needing to use an adapter.

I also had an id before the 3 and never really felt I needed bt, mp3, or a camera, but when I upgraded and it was there, I did actually tend to use it more than I thought I would.

and of course if you sell your id for a good price that reduces the cost of the upgrade as well
