I am getting confused by the stores who don't seem to know whether or not their cd is the version for my krzr k1.

One store has the version for the krzr model and says it is version 4.0, however he does not know if it will work with the krzr k1 and there is no refund???

is there an end user that can advise if this MPT cd version 4 will work with mine? I just was down at the store. If it will, do I have to update it. I am going to start off by adding ring tones.

Sorry for the Noob question however the store reps don't even know much about the software and send me home to look up the specifications of the phone and I don't know where to find them??
I sincerely would appreciate a response, thankyou.

I have tried the motorola forum and have no luck there.

Once you buy MPT, updates are free, either thru repeated Live Updates or by proving ownership to BVRP and having them send you a download link for the latest install file.

The current version is 4.5.6a, so yes you will need to update it one way or another.
