My old phone had a silent ring I could assign to my contacts, so that if they called the phone would not ring. Is there any way to do this with the TILT?

find a silent MP3 and then assign it as a ringtone to the contacts you don't want to hear your phone ringing. Either that or you can get "PhotoContacts" which has the option to block unknown/private numbers as well as block certain contacts.

Can't you just use your PC's Sound Recorder, disable the line-in and mic and record 5 seconds of silence? It'll create a .WAV file which can be xferred to your phone and used as the ring tone for contacts of your choice.
