Hey guys,
Im really frustrated! I did the proxy.pac hack and also changed the plist file, and the internet is still not working! I had it working on 1.0.2, last night I upgraded to 1.1.1 and now when i browse a page it says "Error 502 - Bad Request
The server could not resolve your request for uri: \"
Please help! Ive tried changing the settings in proxy.pac and nothing works!

Whats are your network settings set to on your iPhone for T-Mobile?

im tryin to the proxy hack now. how do i back up my old settings and how do i even get to them ? im using ibrickr and i can see where to put them but i do see where the actual files are to back up

I am kind of iphone ignorant, but I I am running a TMOBILE Demo line on my iphone with the BlackBerry data plan and it's working great.

just had to go into the edge connections and change it from cingulars connections to wap.voicestream.com with no username and password and it's working awesome.

This is easy, You need 2 files,

1.proxy.pac
2.preferences.plist

Open WinScp and go to:

/private/var/root

Place Proxy.pac there

Then go to:

/private/var/root/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/

And replace preferences.plist there.

That's it, You should be good to go! No need to change the settings this will do it for you!

I've done all this! I think port 80 is blocked in my area. I can access gmail.app and still nothing works. Ive had this working prior to 1.1.1 update, after I updated from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 it stopped working. My APN is wap.voicestream.com, I have the right proxy in proxy.pac in the right directory, and I edited my plist file. No luck

Guess ill have to upgrade to 19.99 plan. Thanks guys!

install the repo from my page, located in the FAQ. It includes simple scripts that install and backup your old files that allows you to use the tzone hack.
