alrighty so heres the deal guys. im in the market for a new phone. i currently have a samsung u600 and so to say that i want something more. i do like the samsung u600, but it has some minor annoyances.
so heres what i want..
+ 5MP camera
(sure i ought to just buy a digital camera but im more of those ah i dont have room to bring all that stuff around and rather have things in my pocket.)
+ Easy SMS
( i like the idea of how the viewty (KU990) has the qwerty touch pad.)
+ Minimal Lag / Shutter speed
( this where my u600 ticks me off, sometimes the shutter speed and access to camera is SLOW as hell.)
+ Occasional Broswing / E-mail
( i like being able to be notified when i get new email and fast. i also like to surf the web when im bored in class.)
+ Music Player
( when playing with a2DP i find that my samsung cuts in and out with the bt8010. im going try it with the voyager 855 when i receive it, but the media player itself lags.)
+ Chinese Support/Hourly Update
(ok this one is a little weird.. i like to write memos in chinese from time to time , so being able to have some chinese on it would be a plus- HOWEVER i don't really require it in the phone. my u600 says time time every hour, and im wondering if any other phones will do the same.)
okay thats what i want in a phone, which either points to what i think SEk850i or the LG KU990 Viewty. I have had experience with SE, with an w810 and found that phone to be pretty good. I never tried a LG before but im willing it to give it a shot. I used to have a Nokia n73 and boy that thing was a lagmonster. i couldn't take it after a few months and sold it here on hofo. i didnt need the symbian OS or do i care for it at all, so n95 is kind of out of the question more to be said more... out of the budget. with that being said i'd like to thank you guys for reading this and helping me pick the right phone for me. thanks!
oh i'm with at&t and haven't had much experience dealing with 3G. im in a place where 850 band doesnt matter for talking reception but i will be moving down to san diego in maybe the next year or so.. and theres 3G down there and was wondering if 3G would make a deciding factor in my phone choice. if 3G is that much greater than edge that i would get a different phone. or if the reception of the phone is SUPER compared to the gsm networks.
and again i'd like to thank those who have read this.
