i wanna downgrade my A39 No Sound to A22 Chinese

Yes you can. I did it two days back. Use back the same principle as how did you flash your phone's firmware to A39 to be safe. It's alright.

you can do so provided you have A22 firmware with chinese language pack for A22. yes you can do it. good luck!

The language pack is chinese for A22. If you want to upgrade to A39, this is perhaps what you need...posted by alanbr to upgrade to A39.

Hi, I've download it but it's a abs file not the *rel file that I need to upgrade to chinese, can you tell me why? or is it anywhere that i can get the *rel file?

IN that case you can ask Ran for the software to change the file to *.rel

Thank you for your concern, I've get it from Ran and done my phone, it work well now, and I got A39 and I can read chinese msg from my Vodafone GD87 now.

Congratulations!But there is no chinese input for the phone right? anyway it should be a wonderful gadget as you can store 200 sms with no camera sound. ENjoy!

Yes, it dosen't have the chinese input, but it's enough for me at the moment, because I don't need to input chinese yet, but hopefully will get it soon.

I tried last night to downgrade a A39 phone to A22 to get chinese language and input. but after the flash with Winmodo the phone just go off it self shortly after I turn on it.

what can I do?

Are you do it with the A22 no sound or with sound?

I do it by A22 with camera sound first, and after that I upgrade it again with A39 no sound, it work fine to me and will not turn off it self.

I'm not sure is it concern anything, but may be you can try and see what will happen.

the phone will only reboot him self if you choose the chinese language display.otherweise it work stable.(A39no_sound+GCD87L94)

I tried the downgrade with A22 with sound. and I just want to keep it if that works. because it's really important for me to have chinese display and input, not how many SMS I can store or something like that.

do you have some advice for me?

does anybody have the experience to downgrade a real A39(no upgrated) to A22? I did it to my phone but the display only flashed after when I press ON button. what can I do with that?

to downgrade from A39 to A22, you need winmodo 0.11. A22+language pack for A22. After that use cb2000 again to do the same process covering the two pins. I was told that I do not need to flash the phone using cb2000 to downgrade but it is better as I believe it's more stable. I did it and it went alright.

okay...what you need to do is to charge your phone to the max, ok?then start winmodo...plug the cable in...then during signalling...just press the power button for 1 second...it should work. Sometimes it might due to the pins being dirty.Clean it first. It happened to me once.

I know it should be working to downgrade A39 to A22 for there are the same hardware inside the phone. but somehow the phone can only be turned on when I flash it with A39.

what can I do?

Ran, sounds like you need to use CB200 to reset your phone again. I had same issue when I upgrade from A22 to A39.

First flash your phone with winmodo and then cb2000 to downgrade to A22. After that flash it with winmodo and cb2000 again for upgrading to A39

after so many trys, what I really want now is a working A22 with chines display and input. no more...
because A39+GCD87L94 will not working together properly for L94 only fit A22.

but why the phone now don't want to turned on?

I did everything over and over again but still geting the same problems.
now my phone only accept A39 mainflash, otherwise it don't turn on. so no downgrade to A22 possible.really strange isn't it?

I think there is also some difference between my GD87 from germany and the phones from UK,because I can still see the chinese S and T in the language setting after the upgrade to A39 and you only got english.but once I choose one of the chinese and go out of setting,the phone just reboot him self and show some error message on the display.if I set the language to english,I can even set the input laguage to chinese and type chinese without any problems.

I still don't understand why this phone does't accept A22...

Ran: L94 only works for A22 and not for A39.Since when L94 could work on A39?When you flash it to A39,disable language upgrade but only leave boot and main on. This will do the trick.
