at the moment i am using my gfs curve. MAN i need a BB now!! haha. So my question now is.. How long to we see another BB in the ATT line up, we have the curve and 8820 with no camera!! ouch. I really dont want to have the same phone as my gf and buy a curve as well.

Keep the trackball, but keep it the quality of the 8800, my 8310's trackball feels like it is a lower grade than that of the 8800. If RIM were to make a new BB, it should come out next year Q4 (so it's close to my upgrade), have GPS, 3G, Wifi (maybe), 3mp camera (with video), 3.5mm jack, stereo Bluetooth, regular sized SD card slot, keys spaced similar to the Curves, ALT keys on both sides of the keyboard, and lastly, a TOUCHSCREEN (with a metal stylus)!!! Well yeah. Now you know what I dream of at night.

The actual customer/user base is very satisfied with the BlackBerry products as is. Why would they try to fix something that isn't broken?

I was told the other day by a guy who works on the network for AT&T that there will be a 3G blackberry early next year, likely in February. Apparently it is being tested now.

There's been rumors about a 9xxx series coming that is the best BB evar! It will be the uber BB! OK, enough with that, there is rumors of that having 3G and so forth. BoyGenius has been talking about it off and on for more than six months now. I can't recall the details and haven't heard an update on it in a while.

If I had to guess, I'd say the soonest would be six months for an entirely new model and design, based on what I've observed. This is PURE speculation my part and is worth less than they keyboard it's typed on.

I've had my Curve almost six months now so anytime in the next six months would be good for me.

Rumors are flying about a 3G/WiFi/GPS/Touchscreen Blackberry device that is in the works for a first-quarter 2008 release...

...they are calling it the 9000 series.

Im very satisfied with the trackball, in fact i returned my Q9 in favor for my 8310's much easier navigation via the trackball..

id like to see a 3g model ONLY if battery life isnt a major disaster like some of the 3g handsets..i love my curves battery life...Id love a 3g BB, 3mp camera with video,Micro sd like current, build quality like the 8800 and 8820, 3.5headset jack ..thats about all i need

,support for up to 16 GB mem card maybe
