Has anyone tried using SE's iSync Plug-in 1.7 in Leopard yet? Does it still work? Thanks for any info.

I am sorry to say that it seems as version 1.7 does not work with iSync in Leopard (MacOS X 10.5). You may browse and send files and discover the phone but you never get the option to use the phone together with the Addressbook and iCal when you pair the phone with your Mac.

After a bit of searching the net I found a guy who reported on getting it to work after updating the phone firmware to the latest release. It was news to me at that time that they had released yet another firmware update, since I had updated it pretty recently when I posted my earlier reply.
I did exactly that. Updated the firmware, re-installed the iSync plug-in version 1.07 (not 1.7... as wrongly stated earlier) and tried to sync. It did actually work!
But after that it has been working off and on. I can't seem to find when it does and when it doesn't. I sync over my bluetooth connection. Most of the times I get a disrupted sync. It sucks about 90-100% of the updates down and starts in some cases the transfer of changes to the phone, but it then disconnects.
At first I thought it was due to the phone standing in the charger stand with the USB cord connected to my MacBook Pro. But disconnecting it didn't solve the issue. The only thing that solves it, but not necessarily, is to switch the phone off and then on again and after that performing a sync directly.
I have no trouble using the P990i as a 3G modem over bluetooth It never disconnects unexpectedly or behaves bad in any sence. So it shouldn't be due to the Bluetooth implementation that makes the sync work poorly.
One thought is that it is due to the EXTREMELY LOW MEMORY SIZE. Shame on you Sonyericsson, putting out a phone like this on the market... You have lost at least my trust with this model.
I am longing for the iPhone to appear in Sweden.
If you do update the firmware to get it to work, don't forget to back up your phone, since it erases all data stored on the phone.
Good luck to you all P990i Mac users.
