I was offered a BB Pearl that was dropped in mud for 50$ or for my old Samung SGH-D807. I will get to look it over tomorrow, but I was told "If you pulled off the keys and got the mud out it should be ok". As far as I know everything else works. What I'm getting at is, How hard would it be to clean a BB Pearl? Tomorrow may be my only chance to get it so help is needed ASAP!

I wouldn't go for it. The keys MIGHT work if you get it sufficiently cleaned off, but the Pearl's roller-ball pointing device is notoriously finicky, and will likely never work right again. And of course this is all assuming that the Pearl's internals haven't come in contact with water and suffered corrosion damage as a result.
Too risky for me. I wouldn't take it.

Run away as fast and as far as you can. Water and electronic devices (and mud) do not mix well at all.
I agree with the previous poster. Too Risky. If it doesn't work, you are out of luck with nothing left but a paperweight.

The trackball is definitely screwed so forget about it.

Tell the offerer you'll pay $50 for a cleaned out, confirmed-working Blackberry Pearl that was dropped in mud.

I'd stay away from it. I got a grain of sand in my trackball of my Curve this summer and it was a pain to get it out and working again.

I have a pearl that was left in a hot tube for 30 minutes and it still works fine after I took it apart and thoroughly dried it and cleaned it.
I'd take a look at it and if it will at least turn on I'd probably take it.
