I'm thinking of getting the disney phone from ebay and was wondering if anyone here's using it.
Here's the link if you want to take a peek:

This phone is originally only available in hong kong, but I'm pretty sure it would work in North America with a sim card. (I'm in Canada)
Is it a bad idea using a cellphone that's made for another country?
If anyone's ever tried using it, would you mind sharing the information?
(Like how the reception is, any inconvenience using it, etc)

PS. I don't really care much for the specs of the phone, I'm getting the phone just for the design so I wouldn't mind if the phone itself doesn't have too much functions in it.

Looks like it's tri-band, so it should be okay to use in the States (1900mhz) Preferably with T-Mobile for best reception results.

Nothing bad with it, problems If they don't have the language you need.

From the spec, it is a tri-band phone. It would be better if it is a quad-band phone. It will still work in Canada, but without the 850 mhz, you will not get signal in some spots/area, especially in Toronto. I have this experience.
