E90 issue with T-Mobile

Hi guys, a few days ago my brother received his E90 on his O2 network. When I placed my T-Mobile sim card in the phone it managed to read the sim card and also allow me to make some phone calls. But what i realised was, it took me several attempts to connect a call and also other people could not ring me. However when placing the O2 sim card back into the phone all went well and the phone was fine.
The thing is, I need the phone more than my brother but I am unable to use it on T-Mobile for the reasons stated above. I am assuming O2 specific settings and softwares may be the reason for this issue, likewise how would I overcome my problem.

The phone is probably locked to O2. Have you contacted O2 to see if they will unlock it for you?

No no, its not locked on O2 as I can make calls but it just takes a bit of time before I am able to do so.

Are you using the phone in Europe?
