Okay, so my T-mobile razr has been dead for 3 days now, and I'm phone-less. I finally decided on the tilt, (I'm switching to AT&T) but I've been to 4 stores all telling me it's out of stock. Also, AT&T.com is out of stock. I find it odd that they're just suddenly all running out?

What should I do? Wait for it to pop back into stores (how long will it take?) Or should I reconsider the iPhone or Treo again????

all of our stores have them. I just picked mine up friday but now I am not sure I am goign to keep it. It may be more than I need.

Some employees in the AT&T employee subforum have found it odd that some of their locations are sold out and not being replenished.

After reading hours of posts & finally deciding to buy the Tilt, now I have to wait longer.

I purchased my Tilt from premier on Tuesday & received an e-mail on Wednesday that it's on back-order. I checked the premier site & sure enough it's no longer available. Yet it is available on the regular site... what's up with that?

The phone was released less than a month ago & it took forever for any stores to get them & now it's on back order!

there is stock now i believe... i went to the att store the other day asking about the tilt and was hoping that i can play with it to make sure i am happy with it before i cough up 500 for it... and when i was there they said they only had 2 left and they normally sell out everyday... att.com has the tilt back up in stock as of right now

No, there isn't stock at AT&T.com. I ordered one yesterday when there was stock, and was upset to see today that it's Temporarily out of stock. I'll be very upset if I don't get mine by Wednesday. The lady I talked to assured me that if the website said they had it, then they have it.

Otherwise, i'll revoke my order. Not a good way to win over new customers if you're already falling through on promises...

I have 5 in my store i took in 3 yesterday . I think stores are being replenished now but they were on back order for a week or 2.

Store near me were sold out, then they got 3 in today. I reserved mine and traded my Pantech Duo for the Tilt. I'm much happier now even though I liked the keyboard on the Duo better.

As someone who juggled a plain PDA & a cell phone daily, I LOVE my tilt.
Having everything in one device is really handy. I'm use to the transcriber
from the PDA, so I don't use the keyboard unless it is a really long email or SMS message.

Well. for some reason AT&T cancelled my order??? I never got an email, but I called customer care on a separate issue, and the representative said that he no orders for me. He called around (instead of shipping me off to other departments!!!) and found out for some reason my order was cancelled.

I was quite ticked since I got no notification. However, I called a AT&T store in the area which had a shipment of 3 phones come in. So, I just went over there and picked mine up. This thing is a beaut.

I'll call AT&T though, on monday, to let them have a piece of my mind. I had to pay an extra 40 at the AT&T store, so I'll try and fight for that back. If I don't get the response I want... Then I'll just migrate to some other company that would want my business... it'd be a shame though, having to give up this phone...

Mine has been on backorder since Oct. 30th. I'm about to call them now and see what they say.

Not only is the Tilt a hot item, but the holidays are upon us. Both of those factors, I think, account for the short supply.

For those who are looking for one, I hope you can get it.

I just checked Amazon.com and they have them. But I think this applies to new accounts only.

I actually picked mine up from a local store two weeks ago, and returned it tonight. I wasn't aware there was a bug with them. Some of them have been going into deep sleeps... where you can't use them without doing a soft reset. They become unresponsive completely (at least this is the case with the tilt). It happened 4 times with mine, and It was bone stock! No software at all!

I emailed HTC support, and they gave me a link to the HTC wiki, which pointed out that there's some issue with them, they don't know what... but that it would be addressed during the second manufacturing revision. Basically, it seems like it's hardware related, which turned me off.

It was a great phone, and I'll miss it, but I'm not going to deal with missing important calls because of a sleeping issue.

I don't think this is a "Tilt only" bug as my Wing does the same thing once in a while.

Not enough to turn me away from my Wing as a soft reset takes care of the problem.

that happened to me too... it happrends if you have too many programs running when the device goes to sleep by it self.. i just set the device never to do it automaticly and tell battery status to turn my screen off everytime when i lock it and there you go... never experienced it again
