S500i to W580 flash help PLZ!!

I screwed up my phone trying to flash it to a W580.

I have the firmware on the phone, and the file system but for some reason it has changed my network to ASIA?!?

So whenever I put my sim card in it says "Configuration Error"

How can I put it back to FIDO? Or better yet just put the phone back to its original S500i firmware?

Got no other choice but to re-flash it mate... You most prolly selected the wrong files and options.

I flashed the S500i to the W580.

I also added the W580 file system to get the themes and what not.

When I turn the phone on without my sim card it gives me the option to watch a demo of the W580 features. SO I know the W580 files are on the phone.

I just don't understand why the network says ASIA. Could it be the file I used to flash it might be for ASIA?

Would I have to go Unlock the phone to work in Canada? Even though the phone was originally unlocked when it was a S500i?

I still think you need to flash it again lol. Cuz you prolly chose the wrong firmware by accident. You prolly chose a branded Asian carrier by accident?

Can you make calls etc.? Lol. I'm sure a phone that was originally unlocked won't get locked from a flash.

K I tried flashing the phone. Once it says complete I unplug it, plug it back in and it still says that the model of the phone is a S500. So I'm guessing that means it's NOT flashing the phone.

I'm using XS++ 2.0.

Is it a problem when it says that the EMEI name does not match the GDFS name?

It might be interesting to note that when I turn on the phone with no SIM card it asks me to insert my sim card. When I turn it on with my sim card inside the phone it says there is a configuration error.

Wouldnt that mean a problem with the phone being locked to a network?

I am fairly certain that your problem is you did not flash a custom pack, or one that is not correct for the phone. I suspect you did not read instructions thoroughly on flashing your phone from S500i to W580i.
