6700 Desktop Charger Problems

I just recently go a new extended batter about a month ago, and never have had to use the extra battery charger before. I charged the extended battery fine, but then when I had to charge my original battery it won't charge correctly. Not sure if the extended battery messed it up, but it when in perfectly. I basically have to clamp or put something ontop of the standard battery so it gets a nice connection. Also if I put the original in the "wrong" way it actually locks in like its supposed to be that way when its really not. Now after a month, my extended battery just started doing the same thing. I did searches and couldn't find anything about it. Thanks in advance

You know I had the same problem. My XV6700 (first one) was from 2005, the first ones. It came with the extended battery and not the flat battery. I then bought the regular battery and it does not work in the battery craddle. If anyone has any tips, post em here.
