Can this be used inconjunction with Kaisertweak??

Posted by: elite_is3

i have done so and work fine so far...its another program that applies REG settings. I use kaisertweak for the settings thats unavailable for this one.

But its great to auto program it to HIDE YOUR SIM CONTACTS upon restart and some other cool stuff.

help me test it out. post your thoughts

Elite:

I do like it, but am disappointed in having to check off things I want in the system tray like bluetooth and wifi icons. I wish there was a way to have the settings stick so they were there upon startup.

I admit I like Kaisertweaks interface better as you can esaily scroll all options on the screen at one time.

pockettoolman does seem to have more tweaks to the OS though. I need more time to play.

Posted by: elite_is3

check again, you can set things like those ICONs to startup as well

Posted by: barak

That would be great. I checked the help file and don't see how to have icons in sys tray upon startup. Can you tell me how?

I put pocketman file in startup folder and that shows up in sys tray upon startup.

Thanks for the help

After you install pockettoolman, you arent required to do anything else or place it into a special folder, can be installed from anywhere. After installed and running , click on the PocketToolman icon on the bottom right of the today screen, then click SETTINGS, then OPTIONS

you can see here all the things you want to startup

I tried this and the pockettoolman will display the icons (bluetooth, wifi) in the sys tray, but when I turn the phone off, the same icons don't show in the sys tray on startup. I have to go back and check them off again.

I wish they would stay in sys tray until removed.

interesting. might works perfectly.

What version did you download? the correct file is
"PocketToolman2.25b2"

if you have the correct version i would only suspect an incompatibility with something on your phone. perhaps a kaisertweak setting who knows.

Will it work from the storage card?

Posted by: elite_is3

it should like any other program, just install the cab file to it

Posted by: barak

Well, this was clearly user error on my part.

I have to say that this program in my opinion is more functional than Kaisertweaks. I have been looking for weeks for a program that allows bluetooth, wifi and other icons in the system tray and pockettoolman does this easily. Being a noob, I looked right at the options and never clicked it.

The author of the program (elite_is3) has been very helpful in helping a noob like myself to configure.

Thanks elite_is3 for this tool!

id have to apologize if i was misleading at all, as i am not the author i wouldnt want to take any credit for this.

but im glad it worked for you

Cool, I loaded it there, will play with it soon..looks like a very sweet tweaking tool. Thank You!

ps, I asked cause often systems type tools only work when loaded on the device in my experience...

Posted by: KgbeezR1

Everything works for me except the screen off feature. It shuts the screen off, but unfortunately when I turn it back on I just get a white screen and have to reboot.

I sent them a request, would like to see them add them add the Handset Connected Icon to the tray when your connected. So far, everything works really cool with it...Nice find!

They were very good with me and accomodating to requests. I made a donation to the author via paypal as the program is just that good. What a difference with the system tray icons and no slowdowns!!!

I'd like to see a tray icon for the task manager. You could open task manager and kill some programs without having to pull out the little pen.

at the time that was the latest version...

the one you are asking about was released yesterday.

Posted by: elite_is3

ive encoutered a possible bug? TouchFLO is disabled now in the OsTweaks...can someone verify this? im wondering because the update includes disabling this for non-touchflo phones but the TILT does have it.

Posted by: masaki

Hi guys,

Thanks for mentioning my app here. I hope you all find it useful. I have some free time lately and have been pushing out updates daily. Check back at the website for update. I tried my best to keep the Release History updated as much as possible.

Regarding the TouchFLO tweak. I made a change in the previous builds to look for the specific TouchFLO executable in \Windows\TFSettings.exe as 2 users have reported that enabling TouchFLO had disabled their touch screen. However I haven't a chance to verify that was due to the registry tweak. For safety sake I assumed TFSettings.exe exists on all TouchFLO capabled HTC devices.

I made a change this morning (2.25 Build 74) and now PT2 looks for the TouchFLO registry key to determine if the tweaks should be enabled in OS Tweaks instead. That should work better than checking for the exe.

Please email me for if you have any problem and I'll try my best to resolve the issue with you.

I installed your latest update and the feature I asked for is included...thanks so very much for the quick turnaround. Now if I could get our company's IT department to be so responsive....nah, that'll never happen.

new version works like a champ so far

Posted by: barak

Just when I think I'm all set with this program, a better version comes out

My question is: For install purposes, do we have to uninstall the older version, or do we install over it???

Thanks

Exit PocketToolman first then run the CAB install. The install will prompt to uninstall the old version. Tap OK on the prompt and when uninstalled, the installation will resume.

since i installed it, pages won't load in pocket explorer. but my data connection seems to be functioning, as i can still download email via IMAP. any ideas?

Posted by: nakaholik

i tried doing a hard reset and the problem still won't go away. wap works fine with the imap connections or basically ANYTHING else.. but when i go to pocket internet explorer, it will connect and then when it gets to the point of saying "opening..." it just will stall out and bring a plain white screen... this is very very very bizarre and really annoying.

if i use wifi, everything works properly. so basically the ONLY time internet doesn't work is when I'm using the wap connection and using internet explorer.

wtf?
