Help HTC Touch powers off frequently

Hello ,
I just bought a HTC touch and it was fine for a couple of weeks and it powers off at random if its tapped hard and when I place it in my shirt pocket and and I walk the shock of my steps seems to to power it off. It has never been dropped and the battery is not holding a charge long. On one occasion I charged it over night but it didnt charge up. Any suggestions on what the problem could be.

Check your Mini USB charger connection. Mine was lose after a few charges.

Thanks for your help I discovered my SIM card was not seated right I reseated it and haven't had the problem since
