I think I really messed things up. I just bought an ATT tilt and thought it would be great to sync via bluetooth. I am using xp, outlook 2003 xp2 brand new tilt and kensington usb bluetooth adapter.

I installed the bluetooth adapter software and connected the dongle to my laptop and all went well. I was able to sync perfectly with outlook several times. So far so good.

Then I decided, wouldn't it be great to tether via bluetooth to connect to the internet while on the road. Here's where the problems began. I tried so many things I can't even remember and had the status lights on the tilt wireless modem but couldn't actually connect to the net. So I said, OK I really on wanted activesync bluetooth anyway. Welllllllll, activesync stopped working over bluetooth. Apparently with all my setting changes I screwed something up.

My solution (so I thought)- start over. I removed the widcomm software, I removed activesync, I hard reset the tilt.

I reinstalled activesync and all is ok via usb. I reinstalled widcomm software and dongle and all seemed ok, it even asked if I wanted to activesync and I said yes.

I went into activesync on tilt, tried to start bluetooth connection and far a split second the connection tries but I get and error saying cannot find a computer with a partnership?????

I am able to sync via usb no problem so there is a partnership with my laptop and tilt. For some reason bluetooth is trying to access the wrong one.

I checked com ports, etc and cannot find a conflict. Anyway when I restart my laptop I get an error outlook cannot access the com port, do I wanr to disable, I check yes but still get the error on every reboot. My solution was to remove widcomm again, remove activesync, and hard reset tilt. I then reinstalled activesync and can sync via usb and no errors on startup but no bluetooth sync either. Also, now the tilt will cannot start a connection thru wireless manage via usb. I connect usb cable, select usb and start and nothing happens. I checked in modems and it says HTC modem not present??

Any help please, I spent many hours on this and only want to get bluetooth sync back
