Hello. I currently own an unlocked 1.0.2 iphone and i love it. im thinking about signing up for AT&T and getting a 1.1.1 and putting 3rd party apps on it. 1.0.2, i will be selling on ebay. I know there are only a few changes to the 1.1.1 but is it worth the switch??
im thinking if i was gonna keep my iphone, i might as well have the latest version.
what do you all think??

I just broke down and updated to 1.1.1 last night(from 1.0.2). I was initially waiting for Iphoneringtonemaker to support 1.1.1(Which it now does) I haven't found any downside so far, and I like having an SMS alert that I can actually hear without the phone being right next to me. So now I've got loud/changable alerts AND custom ringtones; if only they would add MMS, message forwarding & copy/paste I'd be set!!

I find 1.1.1 to run much better than 1.0.2 but that's expected as it fixes stability and security issues with 1.0.2 firmware

What would be a downside to 1.1.1?

What is "Jailbreaking" and how do I upgrade from 1.02 to 1.1.1 without bricking my phone.

Today for some reason my earpiece stopped working during calls while speakerphone works fine, would 1.1.1 fix that?

1.

What is Jailbreaking? Where have you been? haha

it allows you to put 3rd party applications on your iPhone

2. You'd first need to re-virginize your iPhone if it's 1.0.2 that's been unlocked with previous anysim or iunlock prior to updating to 1.1.1 and unlocking

That i believe is a hardware issue more that a software issue.
You can try to update to 1.1.1 and see if it does you any good.

and one more thing

Using search would've helped you with all these QUESTIONS!
